P&M documents Joel Meyerowitz 'Out of the Ordinary'

P&M was requested to document the workshop as well as the press conference of the exhibition ‘Out of the Ordinary’ of Joel Meyerowitz. The exhibition took place in the photography museum at Charleroi, Belgium. The exhibition shows photos taken by Joel during 1970 – 1980. The photos demonstrate moments out of the ordinary life and give a glance of life in the 70s and 80s. Actually, Joel told us, that he shot quite a substantial number of photos while driving a car.

Joel became famous for his landscape photos in particular photos from Cape Cod, but his photos documenting ‘Ground Zero’ for 9 months starting right after the attack became legendary.

We were able to spend two days with Joel and appreciate very much having met him.
